Types of Wax:
Strip wax / soft wax — applied thinly, then removed with cloth strips; good for many body parts.
Hot wax / hard wax — applied thicker, allowed to harden, then removed without strips; suited for more sensitive or smaller areas (e.g. bikini zones).
Before Treatment:
Hair length should be at least 2–3 mm so wax can grip properly.
Exfoliate gently a day before (optional), but not on the same day.
Avoid heavy creams or oils before your appointment.
During Treatment:
The therapist will apply wax in the direction of hair growth and strip against growth (or peel off with hard wax).
Skin is held taut to reduce pain and discomfort.
In some cases, a pre-wax oil or powder is used to protect sensitive skin.
Aftercare Tips:
Avoid heat (sauna, steam, hot showers) and heavy sweating for 24 hours.
Avoid sun exposure or tanning treatments for 24–48 hours.
Use soothing lotions (aloe, calendula, fragrance-free) to reduce redness.
Avoid tight clothing or friction in the waxed area for a day.
Continue gentle exfoliation 48 hours later to prevent ingrown hairs.
